Dropbox launched today a promotion to gain users in Universities worldwide.
The promotion offers 3Gb of free space at sign up or change your dropbox email address to your .edu student email address. Then it becomes a space competition, and depending on how other students from your university join the promotion you will get more extra space up to 25Gb.
This will help students around the world increase their Dropbox space and improve the file sharing experience in universities, but be aware that the offer is only for a two years duration period. After this you will not be able to upload new files and will have your space reduced as you remove files from your dropbox account.
In case that you already have a Dropbox account with an email address that is not an .edu email, you can still change your account without losing the space you already have by changing your account settings in dropbox.
